Cub Scouts from Kona, Hamakua and Kohala assembled at St. Michaels The Archangel Church for the Rain Gutter Regatta on Feb. 11.

Pack 12 Kona Hongwanji, Pack 15 Truth of Life Church, Pack 27 Parker Ranch, Pack 56 St. Augustine Episcopal Church and Pack 79 St. Michaels The Archangel Church participated. The boats were assembled and painted by Cub Scouts between first and fifth grades. The boats are powered by personal fans that are controlled by the Cub Scout. There were multiple divisions based on dens, Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear and WEBELOS.

The event was chaired by Robert Leopodino. Many parents, volunteers and Boy Scouts from Troop 15 and Troop 79 made this event successful.
